– The story of the Beerhunter –
In spring of 2020 birdwatcher enthousiasts reported an extraordinary phenomenon from central Hungary. A colourful bird, the Blue-cheeked Bee-hunter was spotted on our prairies for the first time. Some say it’s a sign of climate-change, others believe the efforts for preserving natural habitats have finally born fruits.
In any case the charmly feathered visitor seemed to enjoy the blessings of biodiversity flourishing in the Hungarian Great Plain.
Zoltán, co-owner of the Pécsi Brewery and a pioneer in organic farming has been following supportively the movement protecting bird habitats over the last decades.
